Singles, One Ball

Discipline: Croquet

Singles, One Ball is an individual croquet format in which each competitor plays with one ball, using a mallet to guide it through the prescribed hoop course. It rewards accurate shot-making, positional control, and tactical decisions about how to complete the course efficiently.

At Paris 1900, the event was played in three elimination rounds on 28 June at the Cercle du Bois de Boulogne. Nine competitors from France started, including three women. Four players advanced from round one to round two, and the leading two progressed to the final round.

The recorded values for each round were points, with a lower score producing the better position. Gaston Aumoitte won the final round with 15 points, ahead of Georges Johin on 21.
