5000 metres Team Race

The 5000 metres team race was a team-based track event in which each team fielded multiple runners and the final classification was determined by point-for-place scoring, with the lowest total winning. At the Paris 1900 Olympic Games, it was contested as a single final between the Amateur Athletic Association of Great Britain and the Racing Club de France. The event combined individual finishing positions with a team result and was part of the early experimental Olympic athletics programme.
