The men’s 1,500 metres at the 1900 Olympic Games was contested as a final-only race at Croix Catelan in Paris. The event did not attract several leading middle-distance runners of the period, partly because it was held on a Sunday. Charles Bennett of Great Britain won the race in 4:06.2, a world record at the time, after a strong final lap. Henry Deloge of France finished second and John Bray of the United States third.
